Why Should I Enroll in this E-Course?

This thought-provoking E-Course explores the latest research on Hip Hop pedagogy and culturally responsive teaching. It seeks to increase educator awareness of cultural competence, culturally responsive practices, and Hip Hop pedagogical approaches to teaching literacy in the secondary setting.  In this course, educators will learn the what, the how, and the why of Hip Hop pedagogy. Additionally, educators will receive practical tips and strategies to incorporate Hip Hop pedagogical approaches across content areas with an emphasis on teaching literacy and language arts.

How is the course structured?

With 20 days of unlimited access to this presentation, attendees will have more than enough time to dive deep into the research about Hip Hop pedagogy, culturally relevant teaching, and practical strategies for teaching literacy in secondary school. This 60 minute lecture/seminar is designed to facilitate engagement and interaction in a virtual setting.

This online course is formatted to be both digestible and robust. All who enroll will grasp a more complete understanding of research-based strategies for meeting the unique needs of culturally and linguistically diverse students.
