Why Should I Enroll in this E-Course?
This thought-provoking E-Course explores the latest research on culturally responsive education. It seeks to increase educator awareness of terms such as cultural competence, culturally responsive practices, and culturally responsive pedagogy. In this course, educators will learn the what, the how, and the why of cultural responsiveness. Additionally, educators will receive practical tips and strategies to incorporate culturally responsive practices across content areas to meet the unique needs of diverse learners.
How is the course structured?
Attendees will have more than enough time to dive deep into the research about culturally relevant teaching and its benefits. Through a series of (26) self-paced lectures, averaging less than five minutes per lecture, attendees will review the latest research on culturally responsive education.
This online course is formatted to be both digestible and robust. All who enroll will grasp a more complete understanding of research-based strategies for meeting the unique needs of culturally and linguistically diverse students.

Jahkari “JT” Taylor is an award-winning educator, researcher, instructional coach, author, entrepreneur, and highly-sought after speaker. He has presented across the nation at K-12 schools, colleges/universities, and professional conferences. Throughout his career, he has won numerous awards including the Iota Phi Lambda Emerald Educator Award, Teacher of the Year for Oscar Smith High School, and Overall City-Wide Teacher of the Year for Chesapeake Public Schools. In 2019, JT was selected as an ASCD Emerging Leader for the 2019 cohort.
